The DOT (Department of Transportation) has released the latest version of the Emergency Response Guidebook for 2008. The DOT releases this book every four years to include new chemicals along with the latest hazards and emergency procedures associated to them. The primarily goal of the guidebook is to aid first responders in protecting themselves and the public during the beginning phase of a incident involving hazardous chemicals.
A PDF version of the Emergency Response Guidebook 2008 is available from
here. You can also download a version for Windows Mobile PDAs from
here.
As soon as I get my new phone, I'm going to load the Windows Mobile version. This is a great idea since we usually have our phones with us, and you never know when emergency information like this will come in handy. Sorry Blackberry users - the Emergency Response Guidebook is not available for your phone at this time.
